Luna's Story

Meet Luna!

Luna is about 7-month-olds. Luna is currently 35lbs.

Luna is very sweet and playful, she loves all other animals, she loves to cuddle and play with her foster siblings.

** Please Read Lunas Story **
Luna came into rescue as little puppy with parvo. She was fully treated and recovered from the virus then adopted into a family in Maryland, the husband worked in law enforcement and all the boxes were checked when we screened the family for adoption. Awhile after she was in Maryland, we were notified that Luna needed to be returned and she wasn't a good fit for the family. Our rescue arranged transport to bring her back to Texas and when our transporter picked her up, we were in shock, she was emaciated and it was apparent she was nearly starved. Luna has since gained 10lbs and is Happy and Healthy. She is still searching for her forever home! Before and after pics of Luna are available.

Luna is spayed, UTD on all vaccines, Microchipped, & UTD on Heartworm/Flea/Tick preventions.

The adoption fee is $25 and includes age-appropriate vaccines (DAPP with boosters, Bordetella, Rabies if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter *if old enough, flea & heart worm prevention while in our care, a microchip with free lifetime registration.

We facilitate adoptions across the US from Houston, Tx. for a fee of $200, which includes a health certificate by a licensed vet deeming the pup healthy for travel. Texas Animal Rescue Rehab's Adoption Policy
Every adopter must first apply to adopt one of our pets. After an adoption application is complete, we will review it, reach out to their references and their personal veterinarian. We do a home check; we ensure the pet will be kept in the proper habitat suited for them. We check outdoor play areas being sure there is proper fencing/containment for the animal. If the application is approved, we will proceed with the adoption. We will then schedule a meet and greet. If the family chooses to adopt the pet, we then will have an adoption contract complete. This contract states things such as if the pet were to be rehomed it must be returned to TARR. The animal must stay current on vaccines, deworming and preventatives. If the pet is then adopted, we will do a check in every 6 months to insure all is well.
