Luna's Story

Meet Luna, a gorgeous 4-year-old long-haired German Shepherd weighing around 70 lbs.

This beautiful girl may be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet and loving personality shines through. Luna is gentle, loyal, and looking for someone patient enough to let her come out of her shell at her own pace.

Luna is very much a true German Shepherd — loyal, intelligent, and naturally protective of her people and home. She was previously placed in an adoptive home but was unfortunately returned because she became too protective when visitors came by. Because of this, Luna would truly benefit from an owner who understands the German Shepherd breed and is experienced with their protective tendencies and training needs.

A calm home without small children would be ideal for Luna. She is dog selective, so if she were to live with another dog, it would need to be a very good fit after proper introductions. However, Luna would probably be happiest as the only pet in the home where she can feel secure and not have to share her space.

If you’re ready to earn the trust — and love — of a truly special dog, Luna is waiting for you.
