Luna's Story

Meet Sweet Luna.

Luna is about 9-10 months old and a sweet young dog. Like most teenagers, she still needs some training and structure. She loves walks and is smitten with the 12 year old boy in her foster home.

She is young and has some puppy-like behaviors but we can tell by working with her that she is very trainable and will make a nice family member. The more we get to know her the more we love her!

We don't know much about her background except that she is from the Central Valley in California and her owners could no longer keep her. It's obvious that she was a loved puppy.

She must have had a teenage boy in her life because that is the person she responds to most of the time. She sleeps in a bed next to his and follows him everywhere. Since she is a young dog, we are recommending that children in the home be over 12 years old because she still has some obnoxious puppy behaviors.

We are also suggesting her new owner has big dog experience (she's not full-grown yet) and loves to go on walks and hikes, as most dogs her age and size need daily ample exercise.

We suggest she is the only dog in your home, because we have found her to be dog selective. We also suggest that you take her to dog parks to continue socializing her. She likes the idea of dogs, but has not had enough dog-park time or off-leash time with other dogs, so she needs work in that category.

She is up to date on her shots, and we've made the spay appointment, which is coming up. There is a fee for adoption and we want the match to be perfect so there is a 2-week trial policy. We want you and Luna to be a perfect match!

If you have questions, please email the adoption coordinator at:
redding5765@gmail.com

Luna is currently at a foster in Los Gatos, and the meet-and-greet will be near there.
