Baltimore, MD<br/><br/>Lulu is a Moyan Sheepadoodle (miniature poodle and English Sheepdog) who is 6 1/2 years old and currently weighs 54 lbs. <br/>Yes, Lulu is obese and is in need to lose some weight.<br/><br/>Lulu is an owner surrender. They no longer can provide the care and exercise she needs. They are heartbroken, however, agree another family can provide better care for her.<br/><br/>Lulu has some health issues besides being overweight. Due to the wrong food, she would develop bladder stones (Struvite stones) causing multiple UTIs before diagnoses. With a special urinary diet it is under control. But Lulu will have to remain on this special diet for the rest of her life. <br/>Lulu also has some reported allergies, mostly seasonal during Spring and Summer. But looking at the treats she was receiving daily, those could also have contributed towards the itching. <br/>Best is to keep her on low phosphorus dog food and more holistic treats to help with the health issues.<br/>Otherwise, Lulu is a happy and healthy pup. She will need daily exercise to help with the weight-loss. <br/><br/>Lulu used to go to doggie day care when she was a puppy, but they stopped taking her during the shutdown of COVID pandemic. We think Lulu will be fine with other dogs with proper introduction and acclimation period. <br/><br/>Lulu grew up with small children and has done well with children all ages in the past. She is a friendly gal. <br/>Lulu is not used to playing with toys nor was she allowed on the furniture. <br/>She is crate-trained and house-trained. Please send an email to Needful Souls Dog Rescue and request an adoption application: NeedfulSoulsDogRescue@gmail.com WE DO NOT ACCEPT PHONE CALLS! Our adoption fee is $450 for puppies and dogs up to 8 years old. Seniors age 8 and up the adoption fee is $225 This fee includes all age-appropriate vaccines, heart-worm test age appropriate, micro-chip, current on heartworm and flea preventative, and spay and neuter if puppy is 6 months or older. We are a foster-based rescue where our dogs are rehabilitated in a friendly home setting where they get special one-on-one attention and training. We do not have a shelter set up or location. All of our dogs are cared for in private homes. Once your adoption application has been approved, and only then will a meet and greet be arranged.
