Lulu's Story

3.5 years old. Super sweet love bugg!
She lived with two other large dogs, but her owner had to go into a nursing home. A family member could only keep two of the dogs per their lease and she was the youngest so she was surrendered.
She does need to be fed separate from other dogs in the home because she does not like to share her food but otherwise does play very well with other dogs. She is calm for her breed, but she does still need someone who can give her more than just a few potty walks a day. She would do well in a home that hikes or does activities on the weekends but may not be able to do a lot during the week. She enjoys being pet and loves to get on the couch and snuggle. You won't need a blanket if she is on your couch with you.

Montgomery County SPCA's Adoption Policy
At the Montgomery County SPCA, we are dedicated to finding responsible, forever homes for all the pets in our care. To that end, we have created a thorough adoption process which helps us achieve this goal. This process includes a check of veterinary history records on any pets you currently have, and a home visit. If you rent your home, we require written proof (letter or lease) from your landlord that you are allowed to have pets. We undertake this kind of thorough review to ensure that animals who have already been discarded at least once will never have to experience this again.
