Lulu's Story

Lulu has lived a hard life. This 12 year old girl was severely neglected. She once lived with a homeless man and then was "rescued" by someone who just left her in their yard. She was briefly adopted, where her body condition improved greatly, but then she was turned over to the pound. She is looking for a warm, cozy spot to live out her golden years in peace.

Poor Lulu has arthritis, but she doesn't necessarily let that slow her down. She does need a place where there are only a few stairs, but also enjoys a good walk or a romp around the yard. For the most part, Lulu naps most of the day and just enjoys spending time with her person. She's an older girl who doesn't really want to learn new tricks, she just wants to find a soft place to lay her head.

Lulu has not been tested with kids or small animals. As she is a little grumbly, she would do best in a mellow household without any fast moving things. She could coexist with another dog who just leaves her be.

A Dog Named Black Jack Animal Rescue Recovery, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Our typical adoption process requires potential adopters to first fill out an adoption application. This does not guarantee adoption but rather serves as a tool for us to revise the adopter's information and qualifications to adopt. After being revised, we will conduct a phone call interview with the potential adopter to learn more. If they are approved after these two procedures, we will require them to sign an adoption agreement and pay an adoption fee before they receive their new pet.
