LULU's Story

Who can resist a great looking, tall, long legged, blonde? Lulu is all that and more! This lady appears to be a Curr mix. Judging from the way she moves we think she may be mixed with a breed like an Afghan Hound. She moves with long smooth strides while her back remains even. If I were describing a horse, I would say she moves like a Tennessee Walker. Lulu is four years of age (D.O.B. 04-01-2021) and weighs eighty pounds. She is friendly with people, loves attention, going on walks, car rides, and playing ball. If you are looking for a jogging companion you won’t find a more willing partner than Lulu!! She has been around children, but due to her size she will be better with older children, not toddlers. She does fine when meeting other dogs while out for a walk, but she has not lived with another dog and is still trying to adjust to the number of dogs in a shelter atmosphere. When the other dogs pass by her kennel, she is defensive. She will do best as an only dog. She did, however, live with and was friends with an elderly cat. Lulu is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped, housebroken, and walks well on lead. Lulu is a house dog. Anyone interested in adopting Lulu must own their home, have a secure fenced yard, and have the time and energy for her. If this sweet girl looks like a perfect fit for your family please fill out an adoption application through our website at www.humanesocietycitrus.com and for additional information email Karron at choose2rescue@yahoo.com or call 352-586-9699. The adoption donation for Lulu is $200.00
