Lulu's Story
Meet Lulu

Estimated DOB: 06/18/2021

Lulu came to us after being picked up as a stray, and somewhere along the way this little survivalist decided she was DONE roughing it. She has discovered couches, blankets, sunshine, snacks, doggy cots and having her own people, and she is very much a fan of this lifestyle.

Lulu is a happy, affectionate, absolutely delightful girl with a BIG personality and ears that would make Bluey turn green with envy. She LOVES her people and wants nothing more than to be close to them. Walks, laying outside in the sunshine, cuddling on the couch, getting pets, and burrowing herself behind you or into a pile of blankets are all very important Lulu activities.

She's also hilariously resourceful. Fresh hose water? Delicious. Cherry tomatoes growing in the garden? She'll pick her own, thanks. Suspicious backyard critter? Lulu is already on the case. She has an excellent nose and apparently hasn't forgotten all the survival skills she picked up before coming into rescue.

Lulu is house trained, knows sit and come, and is incredibly smart and a great listener. She's also a determined lady who isn't afraid to voice her opinion, and those giant satellite-dish ears don't miss much.

Lulu would do best as the only dog in the home, where she doesn't have to share her favorite people or favorite things. Her compatibility with cats is unknown. She may do well with older children, although she hasn't lived with children while in our care.

She has had some separation anxiety, but her foster family has worked with her and she's made great progress. She does well during a normal workday with a good routine and something yummy to keep her occupied when her people leave. She's not destructive and can safely hang out in a gated room. Lulu isn't a fan of crates, so her future family will need to be comfortable with alternative ways of keeping her safe when needed.

And really, that's Lulu. She doesn't need a complicated life. She'd love a house with a backyard, soft blankets, sunny spots, walks, snacks, and someone who wants a dog that's genuinely part of their everyday life.

For someone truly looking for a best friend, Lulu could be the perfect companion. She's loving, loyal, funny, smart, affectionate, and so incredibly happy just being with her person. She's the kind of dog who wants to be your sidekick, your couch buddy, your backyard supervisor, and the little face waiting for you when you come home.

Lulu spent enough time taking care of herself. Now she's ready to belong to somebody.

Apply to adopt Lulu at **rescueapittie.org**!!
