Luke

Luke is a pure bred minature aussie. He was used as a breeder dog his whole life and was brought in when they were finished with him. He is a gorgeous boy who needs to spend the rest of his life being showered with love and attention. He is very nervous and shy of people. He is not mean in any way and has not offered to bite when afraid. He just tries to melt into the wall to get away. But he comes running to the front of the run and it is obvious that he wants to be petted - he is just so unsure as he was so mistreated for the first five years of his life. He is tricolored and weighs about 30 lbs. He does like to be brushed and does pretty well at bring trimmed with the clippers! He is reported to have been born in 2016. He will need a quiet home where he is the only dog. He is aggressive toward other males. He has shown some promise of being able to co-exist with a female but I would prefer that there be no other dogs in the home until he has come out of his shell. He does not like cats at this stage of his life. He just needs someone who is gentle and kind and who will have alot of love and patience. He will need to be adopted to a home with no children. He is a huge flight risk so we will require that his adopter have a totally fenced in yard (physical fence). His adoption fee is $300.
