Meet Luke, a 3 year old Lab mix who’s ready to be your best pal!<br/><br/>Luke came to us after being found malnourished and displaying signs of long-term crating. A community member started him on his journey back to health, and he continued on that recovery here at WAHS.<br/><br/>Because of Luke’s history, in many ways he’s like a really big puppy – he has a medium-to-high energy level, is still learning his training basics, and has a healthy love of daily adventures (whether on walks or car rides). <br/><br/>Luke picks up on new skills fairly quickly, always staying very in tune with his handler. He is fully potty-trained, his overall progress has been going smoothly in the shelter, and he’d catch on to new routines so quickly in a home setting.<br/><br/>Even with Luke’s size and energy, he’s not a destructive player. He enjoys playing with rope toys especially and does so in a very gentle manner. Luke also responds positively to playtime with other dogs and is currently one of our most dog-friendly dogs.<br/><br/>Luke is quite a well-rounded young companion and deserves a family who’ll show him all the best life has to offer. It’s important that he connects with an adopter who’s prepared to keep him focused and engaged each day, building on his current progress and establishing a foundation for long-term success. <br/><br/>Additional bio info: male, Lab mix, approximately 3 years old and ~60lbs, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, neutered
