Luke's Story
Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501c3 virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout Louisiana and the Northeast to care for our animals until adoption. You may be required to travel if approved for adoption.

Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout Louisiana and the Northeast to care for our animals until adoption. You may be required to travel if approved for adoption.

Meet Luke! One of four puppies found abandoned on a back road, this little guy and his siblings were tired, hungry and in need of shelter. Fast forward to today, the siblings have found homes but Luke is a dog who needs a dedicated person, someone who understands his fears and protectiveness and is willing to work with him on his stranger danger issues. Luke's foster family adores him, and he adores them. He would however prefer that they be his sole providers of attention and affections. We have found as he visits the vet and walks in the neighborhood, he does have the ability to warm up to people, and learn to trust, but it takes time. Luke is a bit of a project, but one where the rewards are great when the battle is won.
As with any new pet, Luke will need time to decompress and become familiar with his new family and surroundings. In addition, Luke will need the continued patience and training necessary to become a great family dog.

Applications can be submitted through https://lgarinc.org/adoption-application/.
