Luke's Story

Meet Luke! This adorable little guy has it all.....sparkling personality, adorable underbite, the cutest stubby little bow legs.....

Luke was dumped at a rural Georgia animal shelter by his supposed "family". Thankfully, a RMG volunteer happened to be there at the same time grabbing some other dogs so he didn't have to stay in the shelter long! He's such a tender hearted little guy, the loud scary shelter would have just compounded his confusion and sadness after being dumped

Luke is about a year and a half old and pretty much perfect! He's great with other dogs and cats; house trained; and loves to snuggle! He climbs up in bed with his foster mom at night for some bed time cuddling but then finds his way down to a comfy dog bed when it's time to go to sleep. Luke's great size also makes him the ultimate travel buddy!

Like the majority of dogs rescued from rural areas in the Southeast, Luke has tested positive for heartworm disease. RMG utilizes a slow kill treatment method studied by an Atlanta area veterinary cardiologist along with Bayer Pharmaceuticals. All treatment medications and follow up testing are provided and there are typically no lasting health affects after successful treatment.

Interested in adopting your own little piece of perfection? Rescue Me Ga Inc's Adoption Policy
We have an application process that we require for any adoption. The application can be found on our website at www.rmgdogs.org - its the first step in our process and required before we set up a time for you to meet the dog you are interested in …. ALL of our dogs are completely vetted - all vaccines - spay or neuter - dewormings - chip - heart worm tested and treated if needed and ready to be loved. WE are foster based which means our dogs are in homes or temporary boarding when we rescue them -- we know their personalities and what would be their best fit! Our dogs come from a rural Georgia shelter and often we take in surrenders from families facing difficult situations….. WE do post many dogs still in need at animal control as well as all who have been saved already that are in foster homes. We do NOT operate a facility where you can visit the dogs unless you contact us to possibly meet one already in a foster
