Luke's Story

Meet Luke!

Big boy, big energy, and a whole lot of potential!

At just 15 months old, Luke is a 90-pound German Shepherd with a confident personality, a friendly nature, and plenty of youthful enthusiasm. This handsome boy is looking for a new home because his energy has become more than his current owner can manage. Now, Luke is ready to find someone who understands the joys (and challenges) of life with a young German Shepherd.

The good news? Luke already has some great things going for him! He's house-trained, crate-trained, and currently lives with another dog. He generally does well with other dogs, loves treats and toys, and is eager to engage with the people around him.

Like many young Shepherds, Luke is still learning how to channel all that enthusiasm into good manners. He's working on his leash skills and needs continued training and guidance. When he gets excited, he can jump up, so a home with small children wouldn't be the best fit.

Luke needs more than a place to sleep. He needs an adopter who will provide structure, consistent training, exercise, and mental stimulation. In return, you'll have a fun-loving young companion with so much potential to become an incredible partner.

If you understand the energy of a young German Shepherd and are ready to help a big, enthusiastic boy grow into his best self, Luke may be the companion you've been looking for!

Luke's wish list:
• A committed home with an active lifestyle
• Someone willing to continue his training and teach him good manners
• Plenty of toys, treats, exercise, and mental enrichment
• A potential canine companion, with proper introductions
• A family who will give him the direction he needs to thrive

Luke has the enthusiasm, confidence, and potential. Now he just needs someone willing to help him put it all together. Could that someone be you?
