Luke Standard Poodle Houston, TX

Luke is a handsome young male standard poodle between 1 and 2 years of age weighing about 48 pounds. He was entrusted to us by owners who couldn’t keep him but knew we could place him into a loving home. They told us he is good with other dogs and children and that he is housebroken, although we never guarantee that with any of our rescue dogs.

Luke has a traditional poodle coat that is black and luxuriously soft to the touch. His eyes are beautifully dark, wide set on a classically fine poodle muzzle tipped by a black button nose and framed by well-shaped ears. His body composition manifests excellent breed conformation terminating with a properly docked tail. Luke’s physical characteristics are typical of those found in a well-bred standard poodle. He is full of energy, naturally playful and loves exercise. He walks very well on a leash and he is strong, athletic and spirited. He moves with an elegant grace and it's fun to watch him chase a ball or play with other dogs. Visually, Luke is a stunningly appealing dog.

Luke has a friendly and gentle manner, even on an initial encounter. He loves people and enjoys giving and receiving attention and affection. All the dogs are healthy, spayed/neutered, current on shots, parasite / heart worm disease tested (and treated if positive). All dogs are microchipped, groomed and trained to use a doggie door.
