Lucy's Story

LUCY is a beautiful black lab mix with a heart of gold and a need for a new loving forever home. Her current owners love her, but due to recent circumstances, they can no longer keep her and want to find the best home possible for her. LUCY is 4 years old, 60 pounds, healthy, up to date on shots, housebroken. She is very affectionate and playful and enjoys dogs of her similar size. No cats. Best with older children as she wants to play. She knows basic commands: sit, stay, come. down. She is very smart, loves to learn and loves to please. Her ideal home would be active -- running, hiking, walking in the woods. She is an outdoorsy kind of gal, but also would love to snuggle at your feet or on the sofa. LUCY is in the Phila. area. The Rescue Express's Adoption Policy

All potential foster families and adopters are required to fill out an application, both of which can be found on our website. Our foster families are our biggest resource, and the more foster families we add to our family, the more dogs we can save. Our foster families are required to provide a loving, healthy, temporary home for the dogs that we have pulled from shelters who have yet to find their forever families. The rescue covers all medical expenses while our dogs are in foster care. We also require our foster families to work with one of our trainers to address any behavioral problems that develop.
