Lucy's Story

Lucy is a stunning 2-year-old Belgian Malinois with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. She's incredibly people-focused and forms strong, loyal bonds with her person — the kind of dog who doesn't just live with you, she's *your girl*. If you're looking for a best friend who wants to be by your side, Lucy is ready to clock in full-time.

She thrives on connection, attention, and having “her person” all to herself. Lucy would do best as the only pet, where she doesn't have to share her space or her human. In the right home, this lets her relax and truly shine. She's happiest when her world is simple, structured, and centered around her people.

Lucy has a playful, quirky side too — she loves chasing dragonflies, exploring with her nose, and being part of whatever you're doing. She has done some scent work and would likely enjoy enrichment activities or dog sports that let her use her brain. A Malinois lover will recognize her potential: she's smart, driven, and just waiting for guidance from someone who understands working breeds.

She is kennel trained, does well overnight, and has shown good house manners. Lucy is most successful when kenneled in a **secure, heavy-duty crate (not a standard wire kennel)** to help her feel safe and settled. With routine and consistency, she adjusts nicely. Car rides are safest in a crate as well, where she can relax and ride securely.

Lucy will do best with an experienced owner who appreciates working breeds and is willing to provide structure, training, and continued guidance as she transitions into a new home. In return, she offers deep loyalty, affection, and that once-in-a-lifetime bond Malinois people know and love. She adores attention, cuddles with her trusted human, and truly wants to belong.

Lucy isn't for everyone — but for **her** person, she'll be everything.
