Lucy

Lucy is a breath of fresh air and a moment of peace. She's a calm and lovely girl who truly doesn't ask for much - a cozy bed, a lap to lay her her head on, and a trot around the block every once and awhile. She was actually wandering stray in a small town in Texas, when she mosied on up to a friendly face and leaned in politely for pets. Lucy will most certainly be someone's special soul dog who makes every day better and brighter.<br/><br/>Lucy has been around a number of outdoor cats and couldn't care less about them. She can be a bit unsure about other dogs when she first meets, so we can offer some guidelines to your family for a happy, phased integration to your pets if you have any. We're not 100% sure on what sort of dog companion is best for her, but we think another calm buddy would be best. And she's currently living with kids in her foster home and just adores her little boy. Lastly, we wonder if Lucy has had some negative experiences with men in the past, because she can be a little shy with foster dad. We hope any men in her forever family understand this and treat her with kindness and compassion, without pushing her boundaries, in order to help change her perspective.
