Lucy Ball - Florida's Story

Lucy is a very sweet girl. She is very standoffish at first but warms up gradually. Once you earn her trust, she is your best friend and will be your shadow. She will let you know when she wants to be affectionate. She is very attached to Tripp and cannot be without him. She needs to go out twice in the morning. When she first gets up and then about an hour after she eats. She will then be set for the day until about 3PM. She is on Tripp's schedule. She has arthritis and easily takes her pills with food. She is a little unsteady on her feet, so she's not good with stairs but is good with you carrying her. I think she was quite spunky in her younger years but is ready for a furever retirement home to relax and chill with her Tripp. If looking to adopt, I will fill you in on all her needs.

Weight: 14.5 lbs

Sprayed/Neutered: Yes

Microchipped: Yes

Vaccines Up-To-Date: Yes

On Heartworm Prevention: Yes On Flea/Tick Prevention: Yes

House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes

Leash Skills: Good but acts up when she

Medical: Arthritis

Likes/Dislikes: Loves to eat. Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee's Adoption Policy
For the Application and much more information, go to The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee website, Boston Terrier Rescue of East TN at bostonterriertn.org and use the online application. We require both an adoption application & a contract. We check Vet references, interview families and do home visits. We ask for a nominal adoption donation to help us defray the medical expenses of the next homeless dog. It generally costs us more than we take in in fees per dog to completely vet a dog. Many come to us old and frail, often sick, making donations more critical. We are not subsidized by the government or any foundation, but rather by only a few very good people. We're delighted to get donations. Our adoption application is available on-line and we will generally respond within 24-48 hours to your application and answer any initial questions. Anyone wishing to adopt should complete the online application on bostonterriertn.org If you don't get an answer to an inquiry it's probably because your question was already answered in the bio -- and if the dog is still posted on our website, that means he/she is still available.
