Hi, I’m Lucy.<br/><br/>Not too long ago, I was found on the side of the highway in Miami FL — unable to walk, badly injured, and so skinny you could see every bone in my body. I couldn’t stand. I couldn’t move. I had no idea if anyone would stop for me.<br/><br/>But someone did. And that’s when everything started to change.<br/><br/>I had a long road ahead of me. I couldn’t walk. I couldn’t go to the bathroom on my own. I was scared and weak and just trying to survive. But day by day, I got stronger. First, I could lift my head. Then I could stand. Then, one day… I ran.<br/><br/>Now I’m about a year old and feeling better than ever. I’m a medium-sized mix with big soulful eyes, a goofy personality, and a heart that just wants to love and be loved. I’m gaining weight and building back muscle, but I’m already healthy and happy. All that’s missing now is a family.<br/><br/>I love other dogs and would be happiest with a playful pup friend. I’m super affectionate and always want to be near my people — I’m a Velcro dog in the very best way. Whether we’re playing, snuggling, or just sitting quietly together, I’ll be right by your side. I’m currently still in Miami but my rescue transports North about every 2 weeks!<br/><br/>I’ve been through a lot, but I’ve never stopped being sweet, silly, and full of love.
