Lucy's Story

Meet Lucy 🐾

Lucy is a young, joyful girl—around a year old, possibly even younger—who’s ready to find a family to call her own. She came to us as a stray and was never claimed. Why her owner didn’t come for her, we’ll never know… but what we do know is that someone truly missed out on an incredible dog.

When Lucy first arrived, she was a little unsure of her new surroundings, but she didn’t take long to come out of her shell. She has blossomed into a happy-go-lucky, affectionate pup who’s excited to live life to the fullest. With her athletic build, Lucy is ready for walks, hikes, playtime, and all the adventures an active family can offer.

Her big, infectious smile can light up a room—especially when she shows off the cutest little face wrinkles. Lucy’s white coat sprinkled with brown spots is as charming as her personality, and her expressive ears are always on the move, attentively listening to everything around her.

Lucy is very affectionate and loves giving kisses. While it doesn’t appear she’s had much formal training yet, she’s treat-motivated, eager to learn, and already making great progress. She does have some youthful energy, but with a bit of impulse-control work, she’s been doing wonderfully learning boundaries and basic manners—like keeping her paws off tables and channeling her excitement in positive ways (even though she can’t wait to shower you with love!).

Lucy is still new to us, so we’re learning more about her ideal home as we go, but we’re confident she’s going to be an absolute joy for whoever is lucky enough to take her home. She’s a quick learner, full of love, and ready to find her person.
Lucy is here, she’s ready, and she can’t wait to meet you. ❤️

If you'd like to add this joyful 4-legged bundle of love to your home, stop in during business hours to meet her or submit an application at www.mcwvanimalshelter.com
