Lucy's Story

Meet Lucy! Boy oh boy has our Lucy girl changed since being rescued - she's no longer the scared, shut down girl we saw in the last pic that was sent out by the shelter. Thanks to lots of TLC from her foster and all of her new friends, Lucy has blossomed into a happy fun loving girl! We think Lucy is about 2 - 3 yrs old and just under 50 lbs. She's great with other dogs but also has an independent side, so she would probably be just fine as an only fur child as well. One thing that Lucy has told us in non-negotiable on her list of adoption requirements- a plethora of tennis balls!! Lucy lives to play ball!! Interested in adopting, or even fostering, Lucy? Rescue Me Ga Inc's Adoption Policy

We have an application process that we require for any adoption. The application can be found on our website at www.rmgdogs.org - its the first step in our process and required before we set up a time for you to meet the dog you are interested in …. ALL of our dogs are completely vetted - all vaccines - spay or neuter - dewormings - chip - heart worm tested and treated if needed and ready to be loved. WE are foster based which means our dogs are in homes or temporary boarding when we rescue them -- we know their personalities and what would be their best fit! Our dogs come from a rural Georgia shelter and often we take in surrenders from families facing difficult situations….. WE do post many dogs still in need at animal control as well as all who have been saved already that are in foster homes. We do NOT operate a facility where you can visit the dogs unless you contact us to possibly meet one already in a foster

RESCUE ME GEORGIA is a 501c3 non profit rescue group dedicated to saving dogs from a small rural shelter and county outside of Atlanta, Georgia. Since our start November of 2011, we have saved more than 5000 animals in need and have been able to be a part of so many lives changed!
