Lucy's Story

Lucy-5-year-old-female-spayed Meet Lucy! She's fun-loving dog with a sweet and adorable personality. She’s small in height but a sturdy 40 pounds. Lucy has been at the shelter since October 2024 and has undergone ectopic ureter surgery and recovery. Despite the dedicated care from her team, she’s in renal failure due to a complex case, but she’s still living her best life. She still has some urine dribbling but it's better than it was before her surgery. Her latest blood work showed her kidneys are holding steady, and her special diet is helping. We’re looking for a foster or adopter for this happy-go-lucky girl who loves car rides, playing, and spending time with people. Lucy gets along with most male dogs but isn’t cat friendly. She’s very social, affectionate, and currently on a k/d prescription diet. Her adoption fee is waived for an approved adopter. To adopt, visit www.cchswi.org, or for fostering info, contact Susan at prodogtrainer@aol.com. Help Lucy enjoy life beyond the shelter walls! DATCP License #266742-DS
