She is active, enthusiastic and just wants to be with you. You know that saying, get a dog and you’ll never use the bathroom alone again? That is Lucy.<br/><br/>She is good with dogs, cats and is very comfortable with farm animals. She typically even leaves chickens alone, although she may need reminders. Lucy is wonderful in the house, has never chewed anything but her toys. In is pretty reliable off leash and enjoys camping, the beach, dog parks. She loves the water and will fetch a stick or ball from the pool. Lucy operates best with a remote control collar on vibrate mode. She is a great listener.<br/><br/>Lucy is excellent with people, fine with kids, but really prefers teenagers and adults. Toddlers make her a little nervous so she tends to ignore them.<br/><br/>Lucy is a delight, but she needs someone who can challenge her brain and burn that Brittany energy. She will thrive in active household where long off leash walks where she can explore are regular events. We are very attached to Lucy and want the best for her. We will not be considering long distance or sight unseen adoptions for this gal. You must commit to a meet in greet (humans and canines) to assure we have a good match.<br/><br/>Lucy was rescued in March of 2022 and was surrendered to a vet’s office by someone who had her for one week. She was Heart Worm Positive and in poor condition. It was apparent she had been rough beginning in life. She was treated for HW and she is today Heart worm negative, and on preventative. Her vaccinations are up to date and she is micro chipped.<br/><br/>Her family has experienced changes in their household and feel they can no longer care for Lucy. She needs a more active life style than they can provide. If you are looking for an active, smart, girl who really just wants to be with you all the time, consider Lucy.
