Each new person could be his new best friend! He’s also great with other dogs! In his foster home when one of the smaller guys picks on him he turns his head away and lets the dog attack his shoulder. When the other guy gets tired it’s all over and they’re back to being friends. Because of his size and energy level he’s probably too enthusiastic for young children. His foster mom has been working on toning down his greeting behavior but unfortunately his former owner encouraged him to “hug”, so it’s been slow progress.<br/><br/>Lucky also ADORES riding in any type of vehicle! That includes the normal car, van or truck but also anything else with wheels and an engine. He has happily jumped on tractors, lawnmowers, mower decks or anything else he thinks he can ride. A trip to Tractor Supply is wonderful, he can climb on the cart and hug the cashier!<br/><br/>Lucky's enthusiasm is overwhelming to small animals, and he is not reliable around the cats in his foster home. This would probably be true with any small animals. He has shown no interest in the sheep or goats so probably would be fine with larger livestock.<br/><br/>Lucky is crate trained and knows basic obedience commands. He’s practicing his leash manners but still gets excited when he thinks you’re a new friend or a potential ride in the car.<br/><br/>If you are the perfect forever home for Lucky, please fill out an application and contact his foster parents at karinmaida@aol.com. BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location.
