Lucky's Story
Meet Lucky!

Lucky is a 19 lb, 10 year old Llasa Apso mix. He is neutered, chipped and up to date on his shots. He is ready for his forever home!

Lucky came to us from an owner with young special needs children who didn't give him the space he needed and she felt she couldn't give him the time he deserved.

He is settling into his foster home- he loves his walks and playing with his toys. Seems he wasn't ever allowed on the furniture so he just lays on the floor or a blanket to rest. We are hoping he realizes soon that dog beds and couches are far more comfortable!

As to be expected he gets a little anxious when he is left alone and will occasionally whine or bark.

We would love for Lucky to be adopted by people are home more than not, possibly retired or even work from home.

Lucky loves every dog he meets!

He came to us as an only dog but we think he'd love another dog in the house to learn from. His tail wags like crazy anytime he sees another dog.

Lucky seems to be a little hard of hearing but not deaf at all- just squeak his toy and his head whips around to play.

He has been very good at going potty outside or on a pee pad as well.

Lucky will need someone with a big heart who is patient enough to really build a trust with a dog.

It breaks our hearts that he doesn’t expect affection and attention- at this point he won't come running, jump up and give kisses right off the bat- But rest assured this sweet teddy bear doesn't have a mean bone in his body and we do see glimpses of him looking for his Fosters the more he settles in!

We expect great things for our “Lucky” chunky little man!

Feeling a connection?
Apply now on our website:

www.redleashrescue.com

Only applications (not inquiries) move you forward in the adoption process.

Our listings are regularly updated with any and alol information we have.

On our website you will also find information about our process and next steps.

Best of luck on your journey to find your new best friend—we hope to work with you soon!

RLR Team
