Lucky's Story

Hello! This Buffalo water is awfully cold for a southern boy but at least the sun is shining! My name is Lucky and I am about 1 year old. I came to the B-lo from Alabama where they said I was on doggy death row. Not quite sure what that means but I figured I’d high tail it out of there. I’m about 45 pounds and I’m mixed with lab, chow and pit. All the good stuff. The ladies seem to love my golden eyes and charming personality. I love a good cuddle too. Sometimes my foster Dad calls me “Boog”, I think because of the scar on my nose and my butt boogy when I get excited. Thankfully I’m already potty trained so no messes inside. My foster dad and brother Rooney have been teaching me basic commands like sit, stay, down and even how to walk on a loose leash heel so I don’t choke myself! We’ve learned how to run together and today I even went on my first bike ride. Man, do I get happy when we go fast!!!! They seem really impressed with how quickly I’m learning but it’s not biggie. This is was I’ve always wanted. Anyways, I really hope to find a family that can love me as much as I know I’ll love them. If you want to meet me, fill out an application through Hamburg Mutts for Freedom. I bet I’ll love meeting you too! @ Buffalo, New York

Lucky is about 10 months old, weighs about 45 lbs, is utd on vaccines, neutered and HW negative and microchipped.
He is great with other dogs and kids...but NO CATS for Lucky...he will chase them.

If interested in Lucky, please fill out our on-line application.

***********************************************************************************************
Due to our adoption approval process and vetting policies, we are unable to adopt outside of the WNY area (within a 60 minute drive of the city of Buffalo – US only)

For the benefit of all involved, and to ensure the best match is made for our rescue dogs and your home-life, an application, home visit, vet reference check and adoption fee are required. Once approved, a meet will be set up with the dog. A meet is also required with any dog/cat currently in the home and the rescue dog. All dogs currently in the home must be utd on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Our adoptions are not “first come – first serve.” Our decisions are based on the best situation for each individual dog.
