Lucky's Story
~ YES, HIS NAME SAYS IT ALL
Lucky was living on the streets, hungry and alone. One day, while wandering, he followed a woman down the road and that simple act saved his life. She saw he was about to be hit, twice by large trucks and managed to pull him out of danger just in time. She couldn’t turn her back on him. Instead, she took him home and immediately made a veterinary appointment to rule out any illnesses. At the vet, it was clear Lucky was suffering from severe stomach pain caused by eating garbage while trying to survive on the streets. He was very thin, malnourished, and exhausted from hunger. He tested negative for life-threatening illnesses and only needed internal and external parasite treatments, along with vitamins, to help him recover from the malnutrition he suffered while living on the streets.

Lucky is an approximately one year old male that weighs around 10 kilos and is a handsome Cattle dog mix.

Today, Lucky is safe and thriving in his foster home. Despite everything he’s been through, he remains a sweet, grateful boy who is ready for a fresh start. He gets along beautifully with adults, teenagers and children, as well as other dogs at the shelter. He enjoys welcoming visitors and has a confident, balanced personality; loud street noises, thunderstorms, and fireworks don’t bother him. He rides calmly in the car when going to the vet and walks very well on leash, truly enjoying his walks and happily saying hello to other dogs he meets along the way. Lucky has no issues sharing his food bowl or toys with other dogs and behaves well in off-leash environments. At the shelter home, Lucky knows how to relax too; he’s allowed to chill on the sofa, enjoy long naps, and watch other dogs play until he decides it’s time to join the fun. Lucky already knows basic commands such as “ven” (come), “sentado” (sit), and of course “no.” He is an active, playful boy who loves running and playing, so he would thrive with an active family ready to include him in their adventures. Lucky didn’t choose the streets, but he chose to trust a human. Now he’s hoping someone will choose him.

Lucky’s adoption fee is $550, which includes his flight, neuter, vaccinations, and full vetting.
