LUCKY's Story
Lucky (A564945) is one of those dogs who quietly steals your heart the moment you meet her. This little pocket pittie is as sweet as they come and has a calm, gentle presence that makes everything feel softer. She walks beautifully on a leash without pulling and isn’t looking for high energy adventures or marathon runs. Lucky’s idea of a perfect day is simple. A comfy couch, human and a whole lot of cuddles. Even outside, Lucky stays right by your side like a little shadow, hoping you’ll turn around and offer a few pets or kind words. She isn’t demanding or wild. She just wants connection. She wants to belong. She would thrive in a quiet, loving home where snuggles are the priority and companionship is the goal. We do want to be very honest and advocate for Lucky the way she deserves. Her sweetness does not extend to other dogs. It’s very likely she was never properly socialized with them when she was young, and because of that, Lucky needs to be the only dog in her future home. That does not make her “bad” it just means she wants all of her love, loyalty, and attention focused on her people. Trust us, she has more than enough love to give. At just about 45 pounds, Lucky is petite and perfectly sized for apartment living or a cozy home. She is the kind of dog who will happily curl up beside you, follow you from room to room, and make your house feel like home. If you are looking for a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to love and be loved, Lucky is waiting for you. Lucky is guesstimated to be 4 years old and weighs 45 lbs. All dogs adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, dewormed, appropriately vaccinated, and receive a topical 90-day flea/ tick preventative. Ready to meet Lucky? Just stop by our shelter and head to our dog areas. You can find her in kennel D49. All adopters must be 19 years or older with a valid ID.
