Luci's Story

Meet Luci!

This adorable girl is 3–4 years old, weighs 18 lbs, and is currently in a foster home in Pennsylvania, where she’s available for meet-and-greets with approved adopters.

Rescued by The Sato Project from a severe hoarding case in Manatí, Puerto Rico, Luci is now discovering what it means to feel safe, comfortable, and loved.

Luci is a sweet, gentle, and quietly resilient pup who continues to open up more each day. She eats and sleeps in her crate without any fuss, though she’s still learning to go into it on her own. She’s doing wonderfully with her potty routine—going outside with her foster’s dogs and happily accepting praise and treats afterward.

As she grows more confident, her happy and silly side is starting to shine. Today she ran around the yard looking truly joyful, played and engaged with the other dogs, and even hopped up onto her foster’s lap on the couch—right next to the big dog! Moments like these show just how ready she is to bond.

Luci is a tender soul with a blossoming playful streak, and she’s more than ready for her second chance.
