Though her rescue meant time spent waiting in a shelter, Lucassa never lost her gentle spirit or her hope for a family. That hope has carried her all the way to us, where she’s now dreaming of a new beginning in Canada.<br/><br/>Lucassa is an incredibly sweet, loving soul who, although a little timid when first meeting new people, just needs time and patience for her true personality to shine through. Once she feels safe, she becomes incredibly affectionate, playful, and eager to connect. She gets along beautifully with both dogs and humans and has a naturally gentle presence that makes everyone around her feel instantly at ease. Lucassa is also wonderfully smart and obedient, picking up new routines and cues as if she’s been doing it her whole life. Although she’s comfortable spending time on her own, Lucassa’s favourite place is right beside her people—snuggled close, feeling safe and loved. And after what she went through, who wouldn’t want to hold this girl close all day?<br/><br/>Lucassa would thrive in a calm, caring home, whether a house or an apartment, as long as she has access to green spaces for walks and exploration.
