She was originally rescued from a parking lot in central Taiwan as a puppy, where she was found bravely begging for food alongside her littermates. After one of her siblings tragically passed away from a car accident, Lulu and the remaining pups were brought to safety and eventually made their way to Canada.<br/>She was adopted into a home for five years but was recently returned due to unresolved inter-animal conflict. Her previous adopter acknowledged difficulty understanding and managing Lulu’s behavioral needs, which unfortunately led to a tragic incident involving another senior dog in the home.<br/>Despite this history, Lulu has demonstrated that with structure, understanding, and appropriate leadership, she is capable of coexisting peacefully with some dogs—particularly calm, respectful ones. She enjoys off-leash hikes and handles greetings with polite dogs well. However, she is not a candidate for dog parks or off-leash social gatherings and must be carefully managed around small breeds and hyper or socially forward dogs who do not understand or respect boundaries.<br/><br/><br/>? Ideal Home:<br/>Lulu is seeking a dog-free, cat-free, and child-free household (no kids under 14) that can offer her consistency, calm leadership, and a structured routine. She is incredibly friendly and affectionate with people, but her excitement can unintentionally overwhelm small children, and she may see them as competition for attention.<br/>She does best in a home with limited dog visitors and is not suited for dog daycare or multi-dog households. That said, she thrives when she has a person or family she can trust and bond with deeply.<br/><br/>? Why Lulu Might Be the Right Dog for You:<br/><br/>? Extremely loyal and human-focused<br/>? Low maintenance – no separation anxiety, minimal barking<br/>? Adaptable to an active lifestyle (great for hikers!)<br/>? Healthy, fully vetted, and spayed<br/>? Food-motivated and responds well to positive reinforcement (particularly protein-based treats)<br/>? Has a playful side – enjoys her chosen toys and treasures them<br/>? She is not for the average pet owner but will reward the right person or family with endless loyalty, entertainment, and affection.
