LR - Faith's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Foster or Forever Home Wanted: Meet Faith!

Faith is a one year old sweetheart with quite a story—one that shows just how important rescue truly is.

Faith and two other pups, likely her momma, Lila, and sister, Baby Girl, were cared for by a kind unhoused gentleman who loved them deeply. He worked with an outreach group to ensure all three girls were spayed and vaccinated.

Sadly, in April, Faith was hit by a car and suffered serious injuries to both of her front legs. Her companion was dedicated to her care, taking her to the shelter multiple times a week for splint and bandage changes. But caring for three dogs while unhoused—especially one with major medical needs—became overwhelming. Out of love, he reached out to Labradors and Friends for help.

Faith still has a healing journey ahead. One of her paws may require another surgery to fuse the joint, or possibly an amputation if that’s in her best interest. For now, she’s enjoying short walks to build up muscle in her other front leg, which was also injured. She will need continued crate rest and controlled exercise as she recovers.

We would love nothing more than for Faith to heal in the comfort of a loving foster or forever home. If you would like to be part of her journey, please fill out an application at www.labradorsandfriends.org.

Faith is located in Southern California.
