Loyal is a self-entertaining guy who’s happiest with a bone, Kong, or tug toy to keep him busy. While in foster care, he's been crate-trained, potty-trained, and sleeps soundly through the night. His foster reports that he’s a low-maintenance companion who enjoys his own space but is always up for a good tug session when you are.<br/><br/>Loyal follows a predictable daily routine: a morning walk, relaxing in his crate while his people are at work, an afternoon walk, and evening time spent chewing toys and unwinding. He gets three walks a day and is working on his leash manners—he’s strong and can bark or pull toward passing dogs, cars, or anything that catches his eye, but he can be redirected more easily on walks than in the yard. He’s also quite reactive through fences, so a tall, non-see-through fenced yard would be an ideal setup. He’s been higher energy when playing with other dogs and has shown a preference for friendly female pups.<br/><br/>Loyal is recommended (but not required) for a home without cats or young children and would thrive with someone who appreciates his independence and routine.
