Lowla's Story

Lowla, a Heeler/Lab mix, came to PAWS as an owner surrender. At first, she wasn’t sure who to trust and took her time warming up to staff. But once she settled in, her loving and playful side began to shine. Then, she gave us all a surprise—her growing belly wasn’t just from her favorite treats! Lowla was pregnant and, just weeks later, gave birth to nine adorable puppies right here at the shelter.

She was a devoted mom, but when her puppies found their forever homes, she was happy to move on to the next chapter of her life. Lowla is a smart, active, and independent girl who enjoys companionship on her own terms. She values her space and needs a calm home without other pets or children. Because she has not always had the best experiences with strangers, she will require multiple scheduled meet-and-greets to build trust with her potential adopter.

If you’re looking for a loyal best friend to share new adventures with, Lowla could be the one for you.

?
