Lovey’s name couldn’t be more fitting for this sweet girl. 💕<br/><br/>At just 2–3 years old, Lovey has already been through more than any dog ever should. Adore was called out to a home and we found her tied to a tree with no food or water, severely underweight and trying to care for her two puppies while she herself was starving. Thankfully, before police had to step in, the family agreed to surrender Lovey and her babies so they could get the help they desperately needed.<br/><br/>Lovey was rushed to our vet where she spent time recovering, gaining weight, and finally receiving the care she had been denied for so long. Once she was healthy enough, she was spayed and continued her journey back to health. And what a transformation it has been. <br/><br/>Today, Lovey is thriving at her boarding facility where the staff absolutely adore her. For the first time in her life, she’s getting to just be a dog—soaking up all the pets, belly rubs, and attention she can get. Despite everything she’s been through, Lovey is incredibly affectionate and people-loving. She truly lives up to her name and is happiest when she’s close to her humans.<br/><br/>We believe Lovey may be dog-friendly, and she’ll be formally dog tested soon. What we already know for sure is that she has a huge heart and so much love left to give.<br/><br/>Lovey is looking for a home where she will never be forgotten again—a family who will keep her safe, well-fed, and showered with the affection she’s always deserved. After such a hard start, this resilient girl is ready for the life she was meant to have. She is moderately active and does get the zoomies, she's working on her leash manners as well.
