Love (was Gardenia)'s Story

Love (initially referred to as Gardenia as she was found lying in a Gardenia bush!) is just as her new name applies....a real love!!! She has the face of a young pup but vet thinks she is 6 years old! We are still not so sure about that...
She was emaciated....covered in fleas and ticks! and her skin was a mess! She had recently had puppies, but no puppies were found.
Love immediately takes to all humans...women, men, and children. Don't know about cats yet, but she is a bit weary of other dogs, but curious. We are working on her being more comfortable.
Love is crate trained and learning to be as house trained as she can be considering she lives in a boarding facility.
She really wants to be near a human and will follow you around if given the opportunity. She really wants a family to love and to love her!
Love's first vet visit was remarkably unremarkable for a dog that was found non the streets: heartworm and tick born virus negative and no intestinal parasites. She is now on monthly preventatives!
She is now fully vaccinated! And we are awaiting completion of medicines so we can get her spayed!
We would love to get her in a foster or permanent home!
