Louise's Story

Posted on 6/19/18, and the pictures were take on 4/9/18 - Louise came from the Smith County, TX Shelter on 4/9/18. I had a few adoptions at that time, so I had space to tag some dogs from the shelter. I asked who had been there the longest, and needed out. Immediately I was told Louise and Sarge.

Louise has joined what I call my yard dogs that get to run the fenced in area of our property instead of going in a large dog pen, and goes in a crate at night. She barked a lot at first and doesn't always like to go in the crate, but is doing much better now. She still gets anxious to get out in the morning. She is good on a leash, good around adults and children, rides well in a vehicle, LOVES to be pet while licking my arm, and LOVES getting in our water tubs. She does not climb fencing or dig under fencing.

Louise was picked up on FM 2767 and Greenwood on 3/7/18 weighing 73 pounds, heartworm positive, but as of 5/28/22 she is heartworm negative using Ivermectin for slow kill, estimated to be 6 years old in 2018, and was not doing well being in the kennels. I had her spayed on 4/14/18.

Louise's adoption fee is $25, since a donation was made for her care.
