Meet super sweet and friendly Louis! He is a Papillon. Louis ( pronounced Lou-ie) is about 1 years old, 13 lbs.,neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Just look at his sweet face with his deep, soulful, loving eyes! <br/>Louis need a stay at home, active family. He is a love bug and loves to be with his people, but not a long time lap dog, as he loves to play, run, walk, take hikes, play fetch and learn new tricks. He is incredibly smart and would love to do some sort of agility training or have fun courses to play on, in a fully fenced ( 6 ft, solid fence, no wire type fencing). He is potty trained, HOWEVER, please know that each new surrounding/home can change that. We always recommend continuing with potty training and frequent potty breaks to continue his/any dog's success. <br/>Louis's coat was SHAVED down super short by the shelter staff ,as he was very matted. But normally, he will need regular brushings and grooming about every 5-7 weeks. His beautiful, silky coat will grow back from the short shave in about 3 months, so please look past his current short cut. <br/>Papillons are very smart, friendly, they are a great family dog and usually great with respectful children. They get along with other dogs, but often like to act that they are the king or queen of the house. They love their play time and need an active family to keep them active.
