Louie's Story
Meet Louie – The Little Guy with a Big Heart & a Brighter Future ?

Hi, I’m Louie! I’m about 10 months old, around 30 lbs, and just starting to discover that the world isn’t as scary as I once thought it was.

I came to The Pittie Project PNW from our partner shelter in Oklahoma. It’s believed I came from a pretty overwhelming hoarding situation, and when I first arrived, I was very shut down. It actually took a full week before I let my foster mom (who also happens to be the head trainer!) touch me—but she knew I needed a safe space and time to decompress. Thanks to her and my amazing helper dog, I’ve been learning how to trust, play, and just be a dog.

I’ve really started to blossom! I’m silly, playful, and love other dogs—especially ones who are confident and can show me the ropes. I need another playful, steady dog in my forever home to help me continue building my confidence. I’m still figuring out what a leash is all about and learning crate training, but I’m a smart little guy and picking it up fast!

We have me listed as a McNab mix, but honestly? Your guess is as good as ours. I’ve got striking husky-like eyes and a goofy little voice when I want to “talk,” so I might have some husky or border collie in there too. What I am for sure is unique, adorable, and ready to start fresh.

Because I can be a bit nervous and love to zoom, no apartments or unfenced yards for me, please. I need space, structure, and a family that understands I might take a little while to warm up—but once I do, I’m all in.

If you believe in second chances and love seeing shy dogs blossom, I just might be your boy. ?
