Louie's Story

Louie has been in foster care for over a year. He originally came from a home where he was neglected and he has been battling a severe staph infection but he is now healed and ready to find his forever home! He is about 7 and a half years old. Louie is 100% potty trained and never has any accidents, even when left for extended periods of time.

Louie is great with other dogs but he needs a slow introduction due to him getting overly excited around new dogs at first. He has never been around cats and we do believe he would chase them.

This little guy is ridiculously cute and has a bashful, laid back personality. He loves walks, playing tug, chewing on his antlers, and just being with his person.

Commands Louie knows: sit, down, spin, sit pretty, shake, and roll over. (He refuses to speak on command and very rarely even barks in general).

Due to being neglected for four and a half years before he came to us, Louie needs to be on daily medication (1.5 pills once a day; ~$40 a month). He has no issues taking his medicine in a pill pocket. He may be able to be taken off of this medicine eventually but we are unsure at this time, when that would be.
