Louie's Story

Meet our certified breakroom dog Louie, this beautiful guy came to us after his previous owner left him out in the woods, tied up and with no food or water. He came to us extremely underweight, weighing what we would've weighed as puppy... After some TLC and being with CGHS since October 2025 this guy is normal weight, and ready to find a forever buddy to love unconditionally! Louie currently lives in our breakroom and has amazing house manners, he is potty trained, knows not to counter surf, and always lets us know when someone is outside. He is a very sensitive dog who does have some things to work on...

Louie struggles with reactivity, he is not the biggest fan of other dogs, the only ones he seems open to are young puppies and occasionally a very calm female. He is naturally a protective dog that is weary of new people or strangers, he is open to making friends and is luckily very treat motivated. He would be perfect for someone who values a alert/guard dog aligned dog and doesn't have much visitors. When friends with you, he is the silliest most playful guy. He loves to sit on laps while cuddling, play tug/keep away with stuffed toys, and of course sneak snacks from willing participants under the table!

Louie would do best with no children.

Age: 2 years
Weight: 64lbs
Adoption Fee: $300

Fill out an application at: https://www.columbiagorgehs.org/adopt.html

(All animals adopted out of CGHS are spayed/neutered, up to date on annual vaccines including rabies, and microchipped)
