My name is Louie and I'm a 3 year old Male Chihuahua Mix currently living at the Santa Barbara Campus, eager for a new home!<br/><br/>Our boy Louie is a handsome brown Chihuahua with a BIG personality packed into an adorable little body! This sweet guy came to us as a transfer from an overcrowded rescue, and he's now ready to find a family who will give him all the love, attention, and adventures he deserves. Louie is a total people pup. He loves hanging out with his humans, getting pets, and soaking up attention whenever he can. He's also a fan of walks and would happily be your little walking buddy. Whether you're heading out for a stroll or settling in for some quality cuddle time, Louie is happiest when he's with his people. Louie can get pretty excited and vocal when he sees other dogs, especially when he's feeling unsure or overwhelmed. But he's also curious and likes to check them out from his own comfortable distance. He'll do best with adopters who are willing to let him take things at his own pace and help him build positive experiences around his canine friends.<br/><br/>If you're looking for a fun, affectionate, walk-loving Chihuahua with plenty of personality, Louie might just be your guy! <br/><br/>Like all animals at Santa Barbara Humane, before going home I will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped . My adoption also includes a complimentary post-adoption health exam with a participating local veterinary clinic as well as a supply of Hill's Science Diet food to help make my first few days at home a little easier.<br/><br/>If you're ready to welcome me or another animal into your family, stop by during adoption hours-daily from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., except Wednesdays. No appointment or advance notice is r equired!<br/><br/>Need to pick up a few essentials before heading home? Visit the retail center at either Santa Barbara Humane campus, where you'll find toys, treats, collars, leashes, and more at competitive prices. Every purchase helps support the animals in our care and the programs that serve pets and people throughout our community. We hope to see you soon!
