Lou Lou's Story
Breed: Papillon mix
Age: 2 yrs.
Weight: 9.8 lbs.
Good with dogs: yes
Good with cats: unsure
Good with kids: unsure
Energy level: unsure
Good with men/strangers: yes
Hypoallergenic: no

Special home requirements or medical: none

Additional info:

Lou Lou has been a shining gem as she’s come out of her shell. Slow to start, as soon as she feels comfortable with you, she shows her love with kisses, cuddles, and zoomies! Lou Lou loves her outdoors time (and will literally jump up and down at the sight of her leash) because it means exploring, meeting new people and dogs, and sniffling all the good stuff. So far, Lou Lou has done well with dogs of all sizes with an introduction — if she gets nervous, she just retreats behind you, no aggression towards others.

She’s great with people of all ages but may take a little time to warm up to (tall) men and would likely do best in a home without young kids. She’s still learning “sit” but is food motivated which means she’s a quick learner and she’s just learning about toys. Fetch is still an unknown concept for her. Lou Lou has been working on her separation anxiety, something that gets easier as she trusts her person more and more. She is not destructive at all when left alone.

Lou Lou is working on her bathroom training; pee pads are left out when her foster is gone more than three hours. Sometimes they’re used while other times she waits until we go out! Lou Lou is eager to please and will snuggle her way into your heart!

If you are not ready to adopt just yet and would like to help in other ways, please consider clicking on the green “Sponsor Me” button above to help this dog receive the best care we can give.
