Meigs AARF's Adoption Policy
Potential adopters must be at least 18 years old and provide valid identification. All members of the household should be in agreement about adopting a new pet. Applicants should be prepared to provide proper food, shelter, routine veterinary care, vaccinations, parasite prevention, exercise, socialization, and any additional medical or behavioral care the animal may need throughout its lifetime. We like for all family members to do a visit with the animal. Once the adopter is approved for adoption we will then schedule for the animal to get the correct care from our vet. Once the animal is ready to go to the adopters home we bring the animal to do a home visit and if everything goes as planned we leave the animal with you then unless you need to make other arrangements.
