LOTTIE - ARRIVING IN MAINE JANUARY 10TH's Story
Some stories stay with you long after you read them. This is LOTTIE's story..

Caleb’s Opus was recently contacted about a single puppy pulled from a litter of nine puppies being sold out of a Walmart parking lot down south. Nine tiny lives, treated like merchandise. One woman couldn’t walk away — she took this puppy in hopes of giving her a chance. Another person took three, we worry for them. And the remaining puppies… we don’t even want to imagine what may have happened to them.

LOTTIE is currently 7 weeks old and is expected to weigh 9.5lbs and will be 10 weeks old when she arrives January 10th. Her mom is a Great Dane, her dad a Cane Corso, with the father weighing an estimated 180 pounds. LOTTIE is going to be big, powerful, and incredibly loyal — and that means her future must be chosen carefully.

This is not a “cute puppy” situation. This is a lifelong commitment.

LOTTIE will need structure, training, consistency, patience, and someone who understands what it means to raise a giant-breed dog. Financial responsibility, proper containment, continued socialization, and respect for the breed traits she will carry are non-negotiable. This responsibility is not to be taken lightly — pun intended.

And yet…

Despite the heartbreaking start to her life, LOTTIE is gorgeous, innocent, and completely unaware of the odds she beat just to be here. She didn’t ask to be born this way. She didn’t ask to be sold in a parking lot. LOTTIE just deserves someone who will step up and do right by her.

This is where we need your help.

We are asking our community to help us find the right person — not just anyone, but someone experienced with large breeds, someone who understands what this girl will grow into, and someone willing to commit to her for every stage of her life.

If you know someone who fits this description — or if you believe that person might be you — please reach out. Share this post. Talk about LOTTIE. Help us make sure this puppy’s story doesn’t end the way so many others do.

She has already survived so much. Let’s give her the ending she deserves.

Would you like to adopt LOTTIE? Please go to www.calebsopus.org for an application!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption.
