Lottie's Story

LOTTIE
Age: 8 years old
Breed: Bush Baby? Mafia Boss? Chihuahua? Yes.

Meet Lottie, a 6.8-lb powerhouse who came to us from Baldwin Shelter after her owner could no longer care for her. She’s small, she’s mighty, and she is absolutely convinced the world revolves around her and honestly? She’s not wrong.

Lottie is your classic Chihuahua: sweet with a generous helping of sass. She’s great with other dogs once they accept that she is in charge. And to be clear Lottie does not seek out trouble. She doesn’t start drama, she doesn’t need to. Her mere presence lets everyone know she’s the queen. For reference, she currently runs a household that includes two 75-lb shepherds who respectfully fall in line.

She enjoys playing with dogs her own size and is perfectly fine with cats, provided they acknowledge the hierarchy.

Now let’s talk personality. Lottie is… quirky, but what good ruler isn't?

Want to pick her up? Adorable idea. Unfortunately, you did not consult the Queen first. Lottie requires:
*A high surface (bed preferred)
*Verbal praise
*Possibly begging
*Confirmation that she is pretty
Only then will she allow you to bask in her presence.

Cuddling? Oh yes, she loves it. But on her terms. Expect neck smothering, blanket burrowing, and occasional sideways face kisses that feel suspiciously like tiny ambushes.

If you offend her in any way (real or imagined), she will yodel, protest loudly, and make sure you are fully aware of your wrongdoing. Accountability is important to her.

The practical stuff:
✔ Housebroken
✔ Kennel trained
✔ Tiny but fearless
✔ Equal parts dictator and love bug

Lottie is looking for a home that appreciates strong leadership, dramatic flair, and a dog who quietly commands a room without lifting a paw. If you’re ready to live under benevolent, adorable (and occasionally vocal) rule, Lottie may be your girl.

Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful animals, we ask that you please fill out our online application: https://form.jotform.com/223268341300041

We are a 100% volunteer organization and have to work other jobs to pay the bills.
