Loretha's Story
Meet Loretha! We estimate that she is around two years old. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

Loretha was very timid when she first arrived at the shelter. Being surrounded by strangers was, understandably, very overwhelming for her. For the first couple weeks, she would cower when approached and did not want to be around people. After some time, she began to realize that people weren't so bad. She has really started to come out of her shell, and now we can see her goofy personality.

Now that Loretha is comfortable, she is a ball of energy and excitement! She loves to play and will jump all over you. She loves treats of all kinds! She is still working on her manners, but she has mastered 'sit'. Despite being an adult, she still has a lot of puppy energy! It is difficult to tell if an animal is potty trained in a shelter environment, but it is likely Loretha will need some help with training in her new home.

Loretha loves toys! She is one of the few dogs at the shelter that we can trust to have stuffed animals. She loves to carry them around her kennel.

Loretha was brought to HSoP as a stray, so we don't have a lot of background information on her. We do not know how Loretha does with other dogs or cats, but we do offer a seven-day foster period with every adoption to ensure it's a good fit for everyone!

If you would like to meet Loretha, feel free to stop by any time we're open! Our open hours are 2pm-6pm Monday-Saturday. Dog kennels close at 5pm and adoptions end at 5:30pm.
