Lord Shadow McCarlton - in foster!

Shadow (aka Lord Shadow McCarlton) is a calm, well-mannered gentleman who has truly settled into home life and shown what a wonderful companion he is. In foster care, Shadow has proven to be reliable, easygoing, and remarkably well-behaved. Shadow does great when left alone. On one occasion, he was home alone for several hours and handled it beautifully—sleeping peacefully in his bed, with no accidents and no destructive behavior. He only chews on his toys and even showed impressive self-control when treats were left within sniffing distance (he waited until permission was granted!). He has never had an accident in his foster home. While Shadow does not require a crate, he does well in one and can comfortably sleep overnight after a bedtime potty break. He enjoys a routine that includes morning walks, outdoor time, and plenty of chances to explore. On leash, Shadow walks calmly and politely, earning compliments wherever he goes. He rides well in the car and loves outdoor adventures, whether strolling by the lake or enjoying the snow. Shadow is affectionate and gentle—he takes treats softly, enjoys holding hands, and loves being near his people. He is friendly with other dogs, enjoys kids, and has a playful, quirky personality that shines through in everyday moments. He especially loves showers, outdoor playtime, and being involved in household activities.<br/>When he gets very excited, Shadow may need gentle reminders to keep all four paws on the ground, but he is obedient, responsive, and easy to redirect.
