Lolo's Story

Lolo is a four year old Maltese Poodle mix. She weighs about 10 pounds and is currently in foster in Fort Davis. Lolo is a one-of-a-kind girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. With her adorable one-eyed look and her signature “lean all the way back” neck scratches, she’s equal parts quirky and endearing. She loves meeting new people and can get very excited to say hello! Lolo walks nicely on leash and tolerates being kenneled without issue.

Lolo communicates clearly and appreciates when her people listen. She will give a warning growl when she feels uncomfortable, which makes her a great candidate for someone who understands and respects dog body language. Because of this, Lolo needs an adult-only home. She’s also done well with veterinary staff and groomers, showing that she can handle new environments with the right guidance.

She’s got a few lovable quirks too, like insisting on door service instead of using the doggy door (why do it yourself when humans exist?) and her tendency to fully melt into you during a good neck scratch. Lolo lost her right eye due to a past injury, but it doesn’t slow her down one bit. If anything, it just adds to her unique charm.

Thank you for considering an OTAT-WTX rescue! All pets are living in foster homes, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines.

If you are interested in adopting, or for more information, please visit our website: https://otatwtx.org/adopt
