Lolo's Story

My name is Lolo, and in dog years, I’m practically an antique – eight years old, which is like, sixty for you humans? I'm a black lab mix, a sturdy fifty pounds of pure, unadulterated hunting instinct.

Walks and runs are my jam. I’ve still got plenty of pep in my step. And car rides? Oh, I live for car rides! Head out the window, ears flapping in the wind – it’s the canine equivalent of a spa day.

Training? A piece of cake. Especially when treats are involved. I’m a smart girl and eager to please, especially when bacon or chicken are on the line. Sit, down, stay – I’ve mastered them all. I have to tell you that a good fence is a must. I have lots of energy to burn and I'm told I should have an area to run and chase small animals.

I’m not a huge fan of new dogs. I prefer the solo life, being an only child. I’ve lived with other dogs before and managed, but I’d rather have all the toys and attention for myself. As for humans, I can be a little…cautious at first. Give me some time, a few gentle words, and maybe a scratch behind the ears and I will be your loyal companion.

So, that’s me in a nutshell. A little skittish, a lot energetic, and fiercely devoted to my humans and my hunt. I’m Lolo, and this is my life.

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog. From there, you can submit an Adoption Application to be considered for this dog. You MUST be an approved applicant to meet LOLIN dogs. There is no central location or hours to meet dogs.
